Reach the Summit...

In this Level 3 course you will reach the pinnacle in your mastery of Diabetes Exercise. Your primary goal as a fitness professional, in working with those who are diabetic or prediabetic, should be to help them preserve and enhance their quality of life (that is, feeling well), which means helping them learn more about how to manage blood glucose with exercise as an added variable and avoiding worsening any of their health problems with physical activities that you recommend.

The more you know about diabetes and exercise, the better equipped you will be to help your clients with any type of diabetes or prediabetes be as active as possible to optimize their health. This level of the program discusses topics not yet covered in the other two, such as exercising with diabetes while pregnant or working with diabetic athletes, and revisits other important ones in more detail.

There’s no doubt that you’ll be ready to take on any client with diabetes or prediabetes and help him or her getting moving more after completing this final level of training. Helping your clients with your knowledge is the best gift you can give them—the gift of better health despite having a chronic disease.

*Level 1 and Level 2 are Pre-requisites

Upon the successful completion of Level 3, you will receive the certification of Diabetes Exercise Specialist (DES)
